Laser tattoo removal is a cosmetic laser procedure that works by breaking up the ink in your tattoo into very small fragments that your body will absorb. Over a series of short procedures spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart, our highly trained staff will direct highly-focused laser energy at your tattoo in pulses that last a fraction of a second. These pulses will be absorbed by the ink in your unwanted tattoo, causing it to break into tiny pieces. Your body’s immune system will then naturally remove these particles, causing the tattoo to fade.
You will see some redness, swelling and tenderness. Some patients may develop blisters and scabs. Darker-skinned patients may see their skin get darker or lighter in the treated area for a period of time.
There are several factors that influence the number of treatments you will need and an exact prediction is not possible. However, the range of sessions is generally between 3 and 12 for most patients.
Pricing varies depending on the physical size of your tattoo(s), the age of the tattoo, physical location, depth of ink, and other factors.
