A laser is used on the surface of the skin with a cooling device to deliver energy to the spider veins. This causes an irreversible injury to the vein walls leading to the elimination of spider veins. Laser treatment is often used in conjunction with sclerotherapy injections. With the two treatments working very well together, they clear up small visible “surface veins” as well as the underlying reticular or “feeding” vein, which is often the cause of the visible spider veins, and must be taken care of to achieve successful, beautiful long lasting results.
